Neo-Sumerian Account Texts (2nd Volume)
By Marcel Sigrist
This volume contains the 415 remaining texts, predominantly of an economic nature, that were in a poor state of preservation. Marcel Sigrist has diligently preserved them, providing index lists of personal names, names of deities, geographical names, toponyms, temple names, and field names, as well as drawings of the tablets themselves. Like the texts from volume one, these date to the Ur III period (2100–2000 BC) from the Drehem Archive.
About the Assyriological Series
This series publishes the Siegfried H. Horn Archaeological Museum’s cuneiform tablet collection of about 3,000 tablets. All volumes are authored by Marcel Sigrist, sometimes in connection with others. The first three volumes in the series are ready references to the list of kings of Isin and Larsa. The remaining volumes present selected groups of tablets from the Horn Museum collection. Three volumes feature Neo-Sumerian account texts and two involve Old Babylonian account texts. All volumes are published in an 8.5 x 11 inch format, some paperback and some hardcover, and many are highly illustrated.
